From July 10 to 11, the 6th Japan-Indonesia University Rectors' Conference was held at Hasanuddin University in Makassar, Indonesia. In attendance from Kobe University was TAMAKI Hisashi, executive vice president and director of the Institute for Promoting International Partnerships.

On the topic of “Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation in Facing Global Uncertainties," university presidents and representatives from both Japan and Indonesia gathered to discuss issues that the two countries should jointly address. A total of 32 institutions from Japan and 50 institutions from Indonesia participated in the conference.

During the conference, Kobe University held individual meetings with four Indonesian universities to exchange views on potential future academic collaboration.

Participation in this conference is expected to enhance academic exchanges between Kobe University and institutions in Indonesia.

Kobe University is scheduled to host the next 7th Japan-Indonesia University Presidents' Conference in Japan.
